Tim Tebow on CFP if Alabama beats Georgia: 'Pure chaos'
If Alabama beats Georgia in the SEC Championship, it’s going to be pure chaos according to Tim Tebow.
The former Heisman Trophy winner tried to envision the committee’s job should the Crimson Tide beat the two-time defending national champions Saturday. A Georgia win, and well, it’s a much easier decision.
Tebow said it’s going to be quite the headache for the committee should Alabama win.
“You tell me, like what are we talking about,” Tebow said on SportsCenter. “How are you going to decide, how are you going to choose? I think the committee is going to be in a difficult situation because you’re gonna have an Alabama team that just had the best win of the year against a Georgia team that hasn’t lost in three seasons. And how do you weigh that? Do you let Alabama now in, Georgia now out?”
There’s also the Florida State factor. The Seminoles can finish undefeated with a win over Louisville Saturday night.
But, FSU doesn’t have starting quarterback Jordan Travis, so are they really one of the four best teams without him? That much is up for debate.
“And then do you really say that FSU is a better football team or one of the best four,” Tebow said. “It’s hard for me because when you go undefeated if FSU wins tonight, wow, what an amazing season. But then in losing Jordan Travis, one of the best players, the best leaders and best young men in the country, now you don’t have him, but they go undefeated.
“Then if Texas is impressive tonight and Texas has a win a head to head win on the road over Alabama. I mean, that’s just pure chaos.”

Tebow is right that it’d be chaos across the board. Washington’s win Friday night all but guaranteed a spot in the final four.
With three left up for grabs between Georgia, Michigan, Florida State, Alabama and Texas, there’s not enough room for everyone.
Let’s not forget Ohio State either in a wacky situation should Florida State, Alabama and Texas all lose. The Buckeyes could very well just slide right up to the No. 4 spot.
There’s an argument to put Georgia in regardless, but if that’s the case, Alabama is definitely in and Michigan is in with a win.
So do Texas and Florida State get the short end of the stick? Certainly possible. Either way, we don’t want to be the committee in this situation.
