Alabama CB Kristian Story enters NCAA transfer portal

Alabama cornerback Kristian Story has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned.

It was rumored that Story would return to college for the 2024 season, having been listed on the Alabama roster as a senior this past season but did not go through any of the Crimson Tide’s senior festivities, such as being recognized with a framed jersey and flowers on senior day.

In reality, he would be planning a return to college — it just so happens that it won’t be in Tuscaloosa.

Story competed in every game for the Crimson Tide this season, finishing the year with a career-high 15 tackles and an interception.

“I’ve done OK,” said Story of his 2023 campaign. “I could have done better, but it’s been a very fun season getting my feet wet and getting increased reps, and I’m just looking forward to be able to increase it even more and help my team out.”

Story played high school football at Lanett (AL) High School, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 200 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.
