Alabama center Nick Pringle enters NCAA transfer portal
Alabama center Nick Pringle has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned.
Pringle was a key piece as the Crimson Tide reached the Final Four this season. He averaged 6.8 points and 5.1 rebounds per game while seeing 18.2 minutes per contest.
The Alabama center had some downright dominant performances, including in the NCAA Tournament. In an Elite Eight game against Clemson, Pringle went for a double-double with 16 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, a block and a steal.
That was his third double-double of the season.
If there’s one area of his game that definitely needs work it’s free-throw shooting. He is a career 51.7% free-throw shooter, though he posted his best numbers (55.6%) during the 2023-24 season.
Nick Pringle’s season was not completely without incident, though. He was twice suspended for conduct detrimental to the team.

He missed one game on Dec. 4 for conduct detrimental to the team, then was suspended again during SEC play in late January and early February. Pringle missed two games the second time around, failing to appear in the Georgia and Mississippi State contests.
Coach Nate Oats commented on his status at the time.
“He’s currently suspended,” Oats said. “He’s got to decide whether he wants to be a part of this program or not with some of his decisions and how he conducts himself. Nothing bad off the court or anything like that, just in practice, in games and we’ll see where it goes. We’ll meet when I get back.”
Still, he figures to be a highly coveted option out of the NCAA transfer portal.
Prior to enrolling at Alabama and before reaching the college level, Nick Pringle was an unrated recruit, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He enrolled at Wofford and played one season there before transferring to Alabama.
