Alabama softball head coach Patrick Murphy has landed a huge player from the transfer portal, with Emma Broadfoot coming from North Alabama. Playing both third base and catcher during her time with the ASUN program, Broadfoot will be a key utility player for the Crimson Tide in the 2022-2023 season.

“Dreams DO come true!,” her mom, Camielle, said via a Facebook post. “It’s official, Emma will be attending the University of Alabama in the fall as a member of the softball team. This has been her dream since she was little to wear Crimson and White and with her hard work and dedication, she has earned it! We can’t wait to watch her play and to say we’re proud would be an understatement. ROLL TIDE ROLL”

Broadfoot will be entering her junior season and is a local product from Danville, Alabama. She hit .388 with 10 home runs and 61 RBIs. Thanks to her stellar performances, Broadfoot was named first-team All-ASUN.
