Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star running back Anthony Rogers is announcing his commitment tomorrow. He is choosing between AlabamaAuburn, Florida, Georgia and Oregon.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Crimson Tide have a commanding lead for his commitment at 88.4%. Alabama’s odds rose exponentially following an expert prediction from Andrew Bone of BamaOnLine.

Rogers is the No. 96 overall prospect and No. 8 running back in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 19 player in Florida.

The 5-foot-8, 185-pound tailback has visited the Crimson Tide six times. He was last in Tuscaloosa on March 4.

“Everyone is about their business at Bama,” Rogers told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on May 21. “I like the fact that you have to earn everything you get there.”

Rogers has ‘freaky athleticism’ and is ‘a lot stronger than people think’

Bone previously spoke with someone close to Rogers about his play style. That person complemented the four-star’s dynamic playmaking ability.

“He’s explosive and strong… he has freaky athleticism,” he said. “He’s a lot stronger than people think. He breaks a lot of tackles. He can run, he can catch. He runs like a power back who was shot out of a cannon. He could be a lot like Tyreek Hill if he focused on playing receiver, but he’ll be a running back in college.

“He can still work on his change of direction, but this is a kid with top-level ability. His weight is a little low because of track, but once he shifts complete focus to football he can put on 20-pounds. He’ll need that to be able to pick up blitzes and help in pass protection. Ability wise there is no problem.”

At the moment, Alabama’s 2025 recruiting class contains three players: Saraland (Ala.) five-star wide receiver Ryan Williams, Evans (Ga.) four-star interior offensive lineman Mason Short and Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes four-star interior offensive lineman Dontrell Glover. All three players are ranked in the top-150 of the On3 Industry Ranking, while Williams is a top-five recruit and the No. 1 wide receiver in the country.

“I am a hometown kid,” Williams told Bone on May 18. “I don’t want to be anywhere else. I really appreciate all the love I receive there. Some may ask if I would still go there if coach (Nick) Saban wasn’t there. I love Alabama. That’s just where I want to be regardless if coach Saban is there.”
