Alabama EDGE Dallas Turner has made his decision on the 2024 NFL Draft, and the talented pass-rusher will be forgoing his remaining eligibility and entering the 2024 NFL Draft. Turner confirmed the decision shortly after Alabama’s loss to Michigan in the Rose Bowl.

“I’m gone,” Turner said, per Alex Scarborough. “Ain’t no if, and or buts about it.”

Turner was a standout pass-rusher for the Crimson Tide the last three years.

As a junior in 2023 he earned first-team All-American honors from CBS Sports, The Athletic and USA Today. He piled up an impressive 50 tackles, 13.5 tackles for a loss, 9.0 sacks, two forced fumbles, a pass breakup and 13 quarterback hurries this fall entering the Rose Bowl. In that loss, Turner had three tackles and one sack.

Turner has rare speed and explosiveness off the edge, and he does it while listed at 6 foot 4, 252 pounds.

And his production isn’t just a flash in the pan. He did it for three years for the Crimson Tide.

During his career, Turner has recorded 117 tackles, 32.5 tackles for a loss, 22.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles and one pass defended.

Players will have the opportunity to solidify their draft stock at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine, to be held in Indianapolis, Indiana from February 26 through March 4.

The three-day event will be broadcasted throughout the weekend on ESPN and NFL Network.

To be eligible for the NFL Draft, players must be at least three years removed from their final year of high school while having used up their collegiate eligibility. Underclassmen are able to request league approval to become eligible for the draft, as are players who have graduated prior to using up all of their collegiate eligibility.

Last season, 69 players were granted special eligibility for the 2023 NFL Draft. 13 underclassmen who had completed their college degrees were also deemed eligible to be selected.

The deadline to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft is on January 15. NFL teams will receive a full list of eligible players in the class on January 19.
