The Crimson Tide are clearly poised for a successful season according to ESPN’s Football Power Index, with them having a 90% chance of winning or higher in half of their games this upcoming season. Within the SEC, the Crimson Tide are always a tough out, and ESPN’s FPI gives LSU at home in November the best odds to beat Alabama this season out of any other SEC team at 18.5%.

ESPN also predicts that Alabama will handle business in its non-conference matchups, giving them a 99% chance of beating three out of their four non-conference opponents. However, their lowest odds of winning this season are set at a 75.3% in one of the most highly anticipated non-conference matchups of the year, a noon matchup against Texas week two.
