4-star IOL Micah DeBose commits to Alabama

Mobile (Ala.) Vigor four-star interior offensive lineman Micah DeBose has committed to Alabama.
He chose the Crimson Tide following his decommitment from Georgia in December.
“When the new staff came in, they showed me I was a priority for them and that’s when I started looking more at Alabama,” DeBose told On3.
“I made my decision while on the official visit this weekend. I really like coach Kap’s (Chris Kapilovic) plan for me and the players in the program fit me.
“Coach DeBoer is a great person too. He’s a people’s person and he’s easy to talk to.”
DeBose is the No. 107 overall prospect and No. 8 IOL in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 8 player in Alabama.

The likes of Auburn and LSU each had momentum with the 6-foot-4, 335-pounder upon his decommitment from Georgia at the end of 2023, but DeBose is now in line to head to Tuscaloosa. Kalen DeBoer and the new Crimson Tide staff had DeBose on campus multiple times this spring and have now landed his commitment.
“It was very eye-opening,” DeBose told BOL of his May trip to T-Town. “It was good. I had a great visit, a great time. Got to talk with Coach DeBoer a lot. I just like him. He’s a great person.
“[They showed] what Bama could do for me after football,” DeBose continued. “They have a really good program for after football that I like… I definitely appreciated the one-on-one time.”
