Doylestown (Pa.) Central Bucks East four-star interior offensive lineman Michael Carroll has committed to Alabama, he tells On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

He chose the Crimson Tide over Georgia, Michigan and Penn State.

Carroll is the No. 27 overall prospect, No. 2 IOL and No. 2 player in Pennsylvania in the updated 2025 On300. He checks in at No. 183 overall and No. 12 at his position in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

The 6-foot-6, 310-pounder logged his official visit to Tuscaloosa over the weekend. New Bama OL coach Chris Kapilovic built a solid relationship with the trench monster and has now added him to what’s becoming an elite recruiting class for Kalen DeBoer and Co.

“The coaching staff, they’re really personable,” Carroll said of his interest in Alabama last month. “Coach Kap, I love him. The head coach, Coach DeBoer, he seems like a great person. He’s always staying consistent, talking with my parents, all of that. And then the strength coaches there. Coach Dave Ballou, he trained Quinton Nelson at Notre Dame and a bunch of other studs.

“They have Tyler Booker right now,” Carroll continued. “They said they see me being a JC Latham type, so I was like, ‘Wow, sounds all great.’”

Michael Carroll Scouting Summary

Carroll continues to rise in the On300 and made another jump back in April. He continues to earn high remarks from On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power:

“Carroll has the largest frame of any top interior offensive lineman, checking in at 6-foot-6, 300 pounds with plus length and hands that measure over 11 inches,” Power wrote. “The Doylestown (Pa.) Central Bucks East standout shows outstanding movement skills at his size. After gaining more clarity on the top of the interior line group as a whole to this point in the spring, we feel Carroll could possess the most upside from that group.”
