4-star EDGE Noah Carter commits to Alabama Crimson Tide
Peoria (Ariz.) Centennial four-star EDGE Noah Carter has committed to Alabama.
He chose the Crimson Tide after being released from his National Letter of Intent with Washington.
Carter is the No. 127 overall prospect and No. 14 EDGE in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Carter is now headed to Tuscaloosa to join former Washington skipper and Nick Saban successor, Kalen DeBoer. After being granted his NLI release from the Huskies on Jan. 17, he visited Bama the ensuing weekend and is now a part of an elite 2024 class.
“Coach DeBoer is one of the best coaches in the country, if not the best,” Carter told BOL ahead of his visit. “Everyone is going to kinda figure it out, but he’s just a down-to-earth guy. He knows and loves football just like the staff he has.”
As DeBoer looks to usher in a new era in T-Town, he’s having to start with a new deck on the recruiting trail. As he hits reset on the 2025 class, he’s still managed to haul in a win for the Tide in the 2024 cycle. Carter is now the second EDGE in the incoming class, joining Kansas City Liberty North four-star Jayshawn Ross.
Crimson Tide still possess elite 2024 recruiting class
Despite the departure of Saban and the loss of Carlsbad (Calif.) Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Julian Sayin, the Tide’s 2024 class is still one of the best in the nation.

On Wednesday, Saraland (Ala.) Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver Ryan Williams re-committed to Alabama, giving DeBoer his first big win on the recruiting trail. The No. 5 overall prospect joins six other top-100 recruits in the class.
“He knows what it takes, and he’s going to continue the culture and the Alabama standard,” Williams said of DeBoer earlier this month. “It’s not going to drop off one bit, and he just wanted me to understand that I could have a big role in that.
Pinson (Ala.) Clay-Chalkville cornerback Jaylen Mbakwe and Dayonta Beach (Fla.) Mainland CB Zay Mincey are now both five-stars in the On3 Industry Ranking, while Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei CB Zabien Brown isn’t far behind as a fellow top-50 prospect.
Additionally, Carrollton (Ga.) four-star tight end Caleb Odom is the No. 2 player at his position in the cycle, while Birmingham (Ala.) Parker four-star defensive lineman Jeremiah Beaman and Lindale (Texas) four-star interior offensive lineman Casey Poe are the No. 74 and No. 82 players in the country.
