Alabama linebacker Ian Jackson entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 learned on Thursday evening. In the 2021 cycle, he was rated as a four-star prospect and the No. 250 overall player in America, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.

On his Twitter page, Jackson posted a message of thanks to the University. “I am very thankful for the opportunity Coach Saban has given me these past three years at the University of Alabama. I also want to thank the players and coaches who have helped me develop into a great athlete. With that being said, I have entered the transfer portal with two years of eligibility. Thank you–Ian Jackson.”

He played in four games with the Tide the last two years, after redshirting in 2021. Jackson is just one of the several Crimson Tide players that have hit the portal this offseason. Once he signed with Alabama out of high school, he chose them over offers from Auburn, Miami, and Tennessee.
