Alabama OT Kadyn Proctor plans to enter NCAA Transfer Portal

Alabama freshman offensive tackle and one of the top prospects in the 2023 signing class, Kadyn Proctor, plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned. Proctor will have multiple years of eligibility remaining.

Proctor slotted in as a starter at left tackle for Alabama as a true freshman, an impressive feat given he was playing at such a key spot, even for an offensive lineman. He started all 13 games there, and had his ups and downs. So did the Alabama offensive front as a whole, especially early in the year.

The promising tackle will have no shortage of suitors given his remaining eligibility, recruiting pedigree and the general dearth of high-level linemen in the portal. Proctor had previously been committed to Iowa before flipping and signing with Alabama.

Proctor played high school football at Southeast Polk (Iowa) High School, where he was a five-star prospect. He was the No. 9 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
