Terrion Arnold, Jalen Milroe to release 'LANK' country song with Walker Hayes
The “LANK” motto that was a rallying cry for Alabama football this past season will soon be invading country music.
Terrion Arnold and Jalen Milroe, who came up with the saying to — “Let A Naysayer Know,” are teaming up with country singer Walker Hayes to release a song.
Arnold shared news of the collaboration while speaking with The Next Round on Tuesday.
“I’ll just share some inside information that nobody knows about… Walker Hayes, country singer, we’ve got a ‘LANK’ song coming out. Terrion Arnold, Walker Hayes and Jalen Milroe are releasing a country song,” Arnold shared.
Walker Hayes is an Alabama native who has had multiple country music hits, including “Fancy Like.”
Terrion Arnold recently wrapped up his college career and was picked in the first round of the NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions.
Jalen Milroe is entering his second season as the starting quarterback of the Crimson Tide.
Milroe and Arnold came up with the “LANK” motto during the 2022 season. Arnold spoke with On3’s Andy Staples last year about how it came about.
“We were just sitting around, we were talking. And he was like, ‘Man we need something that’s going to get us going. That’ll just keep us going.’ Obviously Bryce [Young] was the quarterback then. And Bryce, very, very humble. Nonchalant and just as far, never too high, never too low,” Terrion Arnold explained.

“J-Mil, total opposite. J-Mil, in the locker room, center of attention in there. In player meetings, he’s going to get up, he gone talk, say what’s on his mind. So just as far that being, we came up with ‘LANK.’ He was like, ‘Man we gotta really go out here and let these naysayers know because they doubting us.’”
The plan worked as Arnold, Milroe and Alabama reached the College Football Playoff in 2023, before coming up just short in the Rose Bowl to eventual national champion Michigan.
Before Christmas, Arnold and Milroe gifted the entire team LANK shirts.
“We’re a family,” Milroe said at the time. “We love our B Psi Phi. Basically we want other guys to market off their names and create a brand for themselves off of LANK because it’s a group effort. It’s something we built in the offseason for us to get where we are right now.”
In his final season at Alabama in 2023, Arnold was named a first-team All-American after recording 63 tackles and five interceptions.
