Alabama releases hype video ahead of highly anticipated matchup vs Texas

The most anticipated game of the season is almost here. Alabama and Texas are gearing up for one of the biggest games on the college football calendar this year — a rematch of last year’s thriller in Austin.
In case Crimson Tide fans needed a refresher on the stakes of the matchup, the Alabama video team made sure to remind them in the Friday night hype video.
The video starts off with ESPN’s Matt Barrie calling the game against Texas “the biggest game on the college football slate — and it’s not even close.” From there, memories of last year’s matchup and a quote from Nick Saban about the fans’ impact are sure to fire up Crimson Tide fans as they get ready for the showdown at Bryant Denny Stadium.
Alabama won last year’s matchup 20-19 thanks to a last-second field goal by Will Reichard. It was just Tide’s second win all-time against Texas, but it marked their second straight victory. They’ll try to do it again Saturday as the entire football world turns its eyes to Tuscaloosa. College GameDay is on campus, as is The Pat McAfee Show, which will do a “Field Pass” sidecast during the game.

Saban knows how tough of an opponent Texas will be. The Longhorns are loaded with playmakers on offense, headlined by Quinn Ewers and Xavier Worthy. That’s why he told his team to be ready to respond to adversity because they’re all but certain to get punched in the mouth.
In fact, he said the game is shaping up to be a “street fight.”
“It’s a great challenge for us,” Saban said on Hey Coach and The Nick Saban Show Thursday night. “I mean, hey, we’ve sacrificed a lot to get ready for this season. Every one of our players have worked hard all offseason, all spring, all summer. They worked hard all fall camp. And this is what they worked for. This is what they made the sacrifices for, to be able to play in games like this and with challenges like this. So it’s exciting to have the opportunity. It’s not something to be fearful of.
“And there’ll be adversity in the game. I told the players that practice today. You’d better get ready for a street fight. You’re gonna have to punch them, they’re gonna punch you, you’re gonna get knocked down. You’re gonna have to get up, you’re gonna knock them down, aight?”
