Alabama trending for elite IOL Michael Carroll
Doylestown (Pa.) Central Bucks East four-star interior offensive lineman Michael Carroll was on campus in Tuscaloosa this weekend. Now, Alabama is trending to land the star lineman’s commitment.
The Crimson Tide now have a 72.1% chance of landing Carroll, per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). On3’s Steve Wiltfong logged an expert prediction favoring Alabama with a 60% confidence level.
Carroll is the nation’s No. 183 overall prospect, No. 12 interior offensive lineman and No. 4 recruit from Pennsylvania in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
On3 is significantly higher on Carroll than the other three major recruiting services. He ranks No. 27 nationally and is the No. 2 IOL in the 2025 On300.

“The coaching staff, they’re really personable,” Carroll said of his interest in Alabama last month. “Coach Kap, I love him. The head coach, Coach DeBoer, he seems like a great person. He’s always staying consistent, talking with my parents, all of that. And then the strength coaches there. Coach Dave Ballou, he trained Quinton Nelson at Notre Dame and a bunch of other studs.
“They have Tyler Booker right now,” Carroll continued. “They said they see me being a JC Latham type, so I was like, ‘Wow, sounds all great.’”
Carroll stands out in impressive OL class
In April, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings broke down what should be an incredible offensive line class this cycle. This is what he had to say about Michael Carroll.
“Michael Carroll (No. 27) has the largest frame of any top interior offensive lineman. The Doylestown (Pa.) Central Bucks East standout is 6-foot-6, 300 pounds with plus length and hands that measure over 11 inches. Like Curne, Carroll is a two-way player, as an offensive and defensive lineman and has outstanding movement skills. Given his frame and the improvement he’s shown, the On3 outlier could possess the most upside of the group.”
