Alabama wide receiver Ja'Corey Brooks enters transfer portal

Alabama wide receiver Ja’Corey Brooks has entered the transfer portal, according to On3.

He was terrific for the Tide as a sophomore last season, posting 674 yards and eight touchdowns, three yards behind Jermaine Burton, who was the team’s leading receiver in 2022. However, Brooks struggled to find as big a role this season, catching just three passes for 30 yards in nine games played.

Brooks played high school football at the prestigious IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL, where he was a five-star recruit in the class of 2021, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He was also rated as the No. 29 overall player and the No. 2 wide receiver in his class.
