From Selection Sunday to the time games tip-off Thursday afternoon, millions of brackets are filled out. People get to enjoy the NCAA Tournament and see how their predictions turn out. Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams is no different, being just like the rest of us.

Williams’ pick to win the national championship is an obvious one, going with the Crimson Tide. But it’s some of the first-round matchups that are a little more eye-opening. He decided to troll Alabama’s biggest rivals along the way.

Auburn losing to Alabama State and Tennessee to Wofford would be quite the pair of upsets. Williams is going for it though, calling a tough first round for those on the Plains and Rocky Top.

Williams actually gave Alabama a tough path to the Final Four, going through Vanderbilt, BYU, and Duke after beating Robert Morris. Facing Houston would be no joke either, a matchup we have already seen the Crimson Tide win this season.

Two Big East teams face off in the other half of the bracket in San Antonio. Williams has UConn oh so close to a three-peat but falling short in the national championship game. Another rematch after Alabama and UConn dueled in last year’s Final Four.

More likely than not, Williams will have a busted bracket just a few games into the madness. Both Auburn and Tennessee are heavily favored in their respective games with hopes of making the Final Four. However, an opportunity to troll is tough to pass up and Williams took full advantage.

Alabama head coach Nate Oats provides injury update on Grant Nelson

Alabama lost star player Grant Nelson in the first half of Saturday’s SEC Tournament game against Florida. Questions instantly were asked about his status for the NCAA Tournament, especially since Nate Oats revealed it was a knee injury. Robert Morris is first up for Alabama, set to play on Friday.

Oats provided an update on Nelson Monday evening, saying the forward is “questionable” for the first-round matchup. The hope is to at least get him back for a potential Sunday game against Saint Mary’s or Vanderbilt.

“We need to get him healthy,” Oats said via Hey Coach. “Not sure he’ll be ready by Friday. We’re hoping, at a minimum, he’d be ready by Sunday with the possibility of Friday… We dodged one. It wasn’t anything too serious with his knee but will for sure be questionable for that first game on Friday.”
