Report: Bill O’Brien potential contender for NFL offensive coordinator job
NFL front offices are working feverishly to rebuild or reassemble their coaching staff as quickly as possible. One team in particular, the New York Giants, is looking to fill quite a few holes on their staff. Currently, the biggest need the Giants have remaining is to land their head coach. And one of the coaches New York has in mind, Brian Flores might already have a potential running mate for their other need at offensive coordinator.
According to Giants reporter Art Stapleton, there is one big name attached to Flores if New York were to land him as their new head coach, Bill O’Brien.
“One name I’ve heard mentioned as an OC possibility if Brian Flores were to land as head coach with Giants: Bill O’Brien. Not the only choice, obviously, and no guarantee that it would happen, but names are always fun. And OC is absolutely a big part of Flores’ candidacy imo,” wrote Stapleton on Twitter.
Ravens to interview Khris Richard
Another NFL team with a hole at defensive coordinator is eyeing the New Orleans Saints defensive back coach Khris Richard. According to NFL.com, Steelers’ rival, the Baltimore Ravens have scheduled an interview with the Saints defensive back coach for the vacant position. It was first reported that the Pittsburgh Steelers have interests in hiring Richard as a defensive coordinator, and now it appears that their AFC North rival wants to do the same.

Richard took over for Dan Quinn as defensive coordinator after the Seahawks fell to the New England Patriots in the Super bowl in 2014. He would hang on to that position for three seasons from 2015- 17. During that time, Richard’s defense ranked first in points allowed in the 2015 season, third and 2016, and 13th in 2017.
Since then, Richard has been the Dallas Cowboys defensive back coach and passing game coordinator for two seasons, 2018-19. But he disappeared from the coaching radar after being let go by the Cowboys following the 2019 season. This year, Richard joined Sean Payton and Dennis Allen in New Orleans as the Saints defensive back coach.
NFL network’s Ian Rapoport relayed the news, via Twitter on Monday, that the Steelers requested to interview with New Orleans Saints defensive back coach Khris Richard.
