Brian Robinson makes bold declaration following Cotton Bowl win
Alabama running back Brian Robinson didn’t hold back in his interview following the Crimson Tide’s 27-6 victory against Cincinnati in the Cotton Bowl. The victory sends Alabama to the national championship once again, where it will have the opportunity to win back-to-back titles.
To Robinson, who finished with 204 yards rushing, the Tide’s victory in that game is inevitable.
“Man, because we just know how to fight, know how to fight until the end,” the running back said. “We know how to come together as a team, as a unit. We’re just warriors, we fight to the end. That’s why we’re going to win the natty and repeat.”
The last time Alabama won back-to-back national championships came in 2016 and 2017. The Crimson Tide will face the winner of Georgia and Michigan for a chance at a seventh championship under coach Nick Saban. They claimed the title in 2020 with a 52-24 drubbing of the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Alabama wasted no time jumping out to an early advantage, scoring a little more than five minutes into the game. By halftime, the Tide had increased their lead to 17-3. Crimson Tide quarterback Bryce Young delivered all three of their touchdowns, finishing 17-of-28 passing for 181 yards.

The defense held the Bearcats without a touchdown on their way to claiming the victory. They combined for a total of six sacks, including two from linebacker Will Anderson. Alabama outgained Cincinnati 482-218 on the afternoon.
In order to make the Cotton Bowl postgame message of Brian Robinson come true, the Crimson Tide may have to take on Georgia. The Bulldogs currently lead Michigan by a score of 27-3 at halftime, and look like the favorite to face Alabama.
If that happens, it would be the second time this season the two teams have squared off with a title on the line. Alabama defeated Georgia in the SEC Championship Game by score of 41-24.
