The Alabama football pro day occurred Thursday, with many of the Crimson Tide’s departing players testing in front of NFL coaches and scouts. However, the one man that most scouts had their primary focus on: quarterback Bryce Young. The former Heisman winner participated in the pro day and used the event to showcase his talent while also getting a chance to speak with teams who may select him in the upcoming draft.

After Young performed on Thursday, SEC Network analyst Jordan Rodgers caught up with him to ask how he felt about his play.

“I feel good. I was just happy to come out here and get an opportunity to show what I can do,” said Young. “I was happy for the guys who came out and helped me and just being able to throw to my guys again always feels good.”

Rodgers then asked Young what exactly he wanted to show about his game to the scouts and coaches in attendance. His response:

“You know, just diversity. I think that there’s a lot of things that you can see on film. But you know, some stuff, understanding how I want to work some straight drop-backs and pass fakes, things like that, along with some longer developing concepts and stuff that can stretch the field. You know, we just wanted to make sure we could put together a script that encompasses everything. And, you know, I’m glad we had the script that we came up with.”

Rodgers also hinted at a “big dinner” Young may or may not have had with some prominent members of the Carolina Panthers organization. Young admitted he didn’t know whether he was allowed to confirm such a rumor but did say he had a meal with some good people the night before.

Lastly, Rodgers asked Bryce Young what the next weeks leading up to the draft look like for him.

“Really just back to working out. Going back to where I’m training at and back to where there’s going to be visits and stuff, a little hectic. But leading up to the draft, I’m still going to be out there just working, putting myself in the best situation so when I get there and get to camp I can try to have success.”
