Bryce Young ready to 'give it all' to whichever NFL team selects him
Bryce Young does not care which NFL team selects him in the upcoming draft.
As long as the Alabama quarterback puts his best foot forward, he’ll be satisfied with his pro prospects. Young could very well be the No. 1 overall pick, depending upon which team and what the need is at the top.
A quarterback-hungry team could restart their franchise with Young as the quarterback but in the end, it doesn’t even matter for the Crimson Tide star and former Heisman Trophy winner.
“You know, for me, I try to do everything I can to present myself in the best way,” Young said. “That stuff I can’t control you know, where I’m at … And so for me, I’m going to be able to throughout this process, I’m gonna give everything, I’m gonna work my best to make sure that I’m at my best wherever I end up. I’m gonna give everything to whatever franchise that is, you know, wherever I’m at.
“The goal obviously is to have success and I’m going to do everything I can, in my power to to get everything to whatever franchise takes me.”
Young began his career with the Crimson Tide in 2020 as the primary backup to Mac Jones. He got his first year of starting experience during the 2021 season, and he didn’t disappoint. That season, Young completed 66.9 percent of his pass attempts, throwing for 4,872 yards with 47 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

“Yeah, I mean, that’s a blessing,” Young said. “I mean, all glory goes to God and, you know, to be able to be so highly regarded, I think it’s a reflection of Will, I think it’s a reflection of the program, a reflection of Coach Saban, You know, the foundation is laid for all of us at the program here, and really is a reflection of the team as well. I wouldn’t be here without my teammates, Will, my brother’s, you sacrifice and we’ve worked so hard to get (where we are). And you know my teammates are the reason why. I mean that really speaks to the volume of the program and the players.”
Entering the 2022 season, Young was viewed as one of the top two quarterbacks in the 2023 NFL Draft, alongside Ohio State‘s CJ Stroud. Young dealt with a shoulder injury during the 2022 season that limited him at times and held him out of of an early October contest against Texas A&M. That was the only week Young was held out of, though, and he returned the following week against Tennessee and threw for 455 yards and two touchdowns.
Overall, Young completed 64.5 percent of his passes for 3,328 yards with 32 touchdowns and five interceptions this season. He also added 185 yards and four touchdowns rushing. Young led Alabama to a 45-20 victory over Kansas State in the Sugar Bowl.
