Bryce Young: 'I will always stand with my team'
When Alabama lost to LSU in overtime on Saturday, it effectively ended their chance to make the College Football Playoff field this season. However, as team leaders Bryce Young and Will Anderson stood in front of the microphones, they made a plea to teammates to remain focused and finish the season strong no matter the end result.
When asked about living up to the Alabama standard, and knowing every team will give the Crimson Tide its best shot, Bryce Young dismissed any excuse and made his stance on his teammates clear.

“We’re ‘Bama, that’s what we signed up for when we got here,” said Young. “That’s the standard, we understand that. When we decided to commit here and come here and join this brotherhood, we knew that’s what it was going to be.
“I’m super proud of my team. I love all my teammates. These are my brothers so obviously this is tough. But like Will (Anderson) said, I will always stand with my team. We’re going to work to get better, but there’s no group I’d rather be with.”
Will Anderson followed up with the message he plans to deliver to the Alabama locker room throughout the coming weeks as they conclude the regular season with more important matchups.

“I just think the biggest thing is, we’ve got to get rid of all the individual stuff,” said Anderson. “Make it a team effort. Make sure that everybody’s locked in, make sure that everybody has two feet in, and make sure that they’re keeping Alabama football the main thing while they’re here and not think about the future.
“So I think that’s the message I’m going to try to get to the team this week.”
Nick Saban takes blame for Alabama loss vs LSU
A lot of different factors played into Alabama‘s 32-31 upset loss in overtime to LSU, with potential blame and finger-pointing all around Alabama’s program. But head coach Nick Saban wants the fingers pointed at him, as he took full responsibility for the team’s most recent loss moments after the game.
“Look I can’t blame the players, I’m responsible for all this stuff” Saban said. “So if we didn’t do it right it’s on me and we’ve got to do a better job of coaching players so that we give them a better chance to have success and when we get opportunities we can take advantage of them
