WATCH: Bryce Young makes hilarious transition from touchdown celebration to Nick Saban talk
After scoring his second touchdown of the first quarter, Heisman-winner Bryce Young showed how quick he can go from celebration to a Nick Saban conversation. The Alabama offensive leader came off the field celebrating his pass with a “Euro-step layup” celebration, and immediately landed on the ground into a serious conversation with his coach.

The moment was a great look at how seriously Young takes his job as an extension of Saban on the field, in a rare side-by-side of a player having fun and taking care of business both. Young kept up his offensive barrage against Utah State, scoring four passing touchdowns before the second quarter was halfway over — as the Crimson Tide built a 31-0 lead in their season opener.
Alabama didn’t let off the gas as they continued to rout Utah State, building a 55-0 lead in the fourth quarter. Young’s day finished early after scoring six total touchdowns — five passing and one rushing — and throwing for 195 yards while rushing for 100 more. Although the offensive output trailed off with the game completely in control, Young still ended the day as the team’s leading passer and rusher both.

Next up, Alabama will meet another college football giant on the field next Saturday in Austin. For the first time since the 2009 national championship, Alabama and Texas will face off against one another. There will be plenty of storylines to follow and ESPN’s College Gameday will be there to tell them.
ESPN’s pregame show announced on Saturday that they will be in town for next week’s showdown between the Crimson Tide and Longhorns. It’s been 2019 since College Gameday was in the Lone Star State’s capital, when another SEC team, LSU, was playing at Darrell K-Royal Texas Memorial Stadium.
