Bryce Young praises Alabama training staff for how they handled his rehab during bye week
The health of Bryce Young has been a question mark ever since he sprained his AC joint in Alabama’s game at Arkansas back on October 1st. He missed their game against Texas A&M with speculation swirling around his availability and status when he appeared the following two games against Tennessee and Mississippi State. However, the bye week came at an opportune time for the reigning Heisman as he says he’s good to go.
Young updated his health coming out of the bye during media on Monday. He said that extra time has been great for his body and credited the athletic staff in Tuscaloosa for helping him getting back to where he wants to be health-wise.

“I think that rest and recovery period has been very beneficial for me. I feel better every day,” said Young. “That credit really goes to the training staff. They did a great job of managing everything, having a plan for me since I first got here until now. (I’m) still working with them. The credit goes to them. They’ve done a great job of managing everything and I definitely feel like it was helpful for me.”

Young has still played well in his return to the Alabama lineup. He completed 63.7% of his passes for 704 yards and four touchdowns in the Tide’s loss to the Vols and win over the Bulldogs. It was still a lingering concern, though, for Young as a prospect as well as the Tide’s outlook this season.
With that said, it now sounds like Young is good to go and is well on his way to, if not already being at, 100%. Alabama will need him at that level, too. That’s because they’re headed to Baton Rouge this weekend for a major SEC West showdown with LSU.
