Alabama has seen a few players decide to return to Tuscaloosa for another season following the heartbreaking loss to Michigan in the Rose Bowl. You can now add another one to the list, with defensive lineman Tim Keenan coming back to play in 2024.

“Faith- Is the substance of things hoped for in evidence of things not seen,” Keenan said via Instagram.

“Last year I overcame a lot and at the beginning things seemed out of reach. I thought I was going to drown before I even took a step to leap. I Jumped in that water hoping I’ll float ,when GOD revealed I was just getting my feet wet. With that being said it’s still unfinished business to tend too let’s have one more go at it. 4th Quarter I’ll see you soon.

“Run It Back Turbo”

Keenan was a starter this season for Alabama at nose tackle, playing in 14 games this season. He recorded 38 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and one sack. A big body in the Crimson Tide defensive line, he will give it one more go instead of declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft.

While Alabama might be reloading on the edge, they should continue to play well on the interior with someone like Keenan back in the fold.

Players will have the opportunity to solidify their draft stock at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine, to be held in Indianapolis, Indiana from February 26 through March 4.

The three-day event will be broadcasted throughout the weekend on ESPN and NFL Network.

To be eligible for the NFL Draft, players must be at least three years removed from their final year of high school while having used up their collegiate eligibility. Underclassmen are able to request league approval to become eligible for the draft, as are players who have graduated prior to using up all of their collegiate eligibility.

Last season, 69 players were granted special eligibility for the 2023 NFL Draft. 13 underclassmen who had completed their college degrees were also deemed eligible to be selected.

The deadline to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft is on January 15. NFL teams will receive a full list of eligible players in the class on January 19.
