Five-Star Plus+ DL Justus Terry locks in first official visit after USC decommitment
After committing to USC back in March, Manchester (Ga.) Five-Star Plus+ defensive lineman Justus Terry has decommitted from Trojans on Wednesday, marking their second five-star defection in less than 24 hours.
Much like fellow one-time USC commit Isaiah Gibson, who reopened his recruitment Tuesday night, Terry is expected to be heavily pursued by the home-state Georgia Bulldogs. But other teams are going to take their swings at him, too.
Shortly after news of Terry’s decommitment broke, On3’s Chad Simmons reported that he will take an official visit to Alabama this weekend as the Crimson Tide look to make a move in this race.
The 6-foot-4, 275-pounder has already taken official visits with the Bulldogs, as well as Florida State. And he was originally expected to visit the Trojans this weekend, but will now head to Tuscaloosa.

The Crimson Tide have hosted him previously, including a visit last summer. But they weren’t considered a major contender in his recruitment prior to his commitment to the Trojans.
Terry is the No. 7 overall prospect and No. 2 DL in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 2 player in Georgia.
Justus Terry Scouting Summary
On3’s Scouting and Rankings team writes this of Terry as a prospect:
“Tremendous frame and build for an interior defensive line prospect. Stands in at 6-foot-5, 275 pounds with excellent weight distribution throughout his frame. Wins with first step and lateral quickness, has rare get off and leverage for a player of his stature. Quality bend and ability to change direction, comfortable in space. Uses his length to initiate contact consistently and sheds blockers with ease. Able to anchor and two-gap if asked to in run support. Will need to continue to fill out and gain functional play strength at the next level. Should be able to carry an extra 20-30 pounds on his frame. High upside prospect who will be in consideration for a first round selection in the NFL Draft.”
