Florida State transfer forward Taylor Bol Bowen has committed to transfer to Alabama, according to On3’s Joe Tipton. The 6-foot-10 sophomore big man will have two years of eligibility remaining in Tuscaloosa.

Bol Bowen is coming off a strong sophomore campaign in Tallahassee, where he averaged eight points on 47.7% shooting and 5.6 rebounds per game as a full-time starter in his second season. As a freshman, he played in all 31 games, averaging 3.1 points and 2.6 rebounds.

Bol Bowen joins the Crimson Tide‘s new-look frontcourt that also now includes 7-foot Bucknell transfer Noah Williamson, who committed March 31. Alabama is losing 6-foot-11 graduate senior forwards Grant Nelson and Clifford Omoruyi off last year’s squad.

Alabama (28-9, 13-5 SEC) is coming off a second-straight Elite Eight season, with the Crimson Tide failing to reach back-to-back Final Fours after losing to No. 1 seed Duke, 85-65, on Saturday from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. Bol Bowen’s decision to transfer came after longtime FSU head coach Leonard Hamilton stepped down at the end of last season.

As a recruit, he was one of the nation’s most coveted prospects in the Class of 2023. According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Bol Bowen was the nation’s No. 69 overall recruit and No. 11 power forward.

The 7-foot, 250-pound center was in Tuscaloosa for an official visit Sunday and Monday before signing with the Tide. Williamson ultimately chose ‘Bama over Kansas, but also garnered attention from North Carolina, Ohio State, and many others.

Williamson put up some strong stats this year, averaging 17.6 points and 7.6 rebounds per game, earning him Patroit League Player of the Year. Originally from Latvia, Williamson has played the last three seasons at Bucknell. He will have one year of eligibility remaining to play in Tuscaloosa.
