Former Alabama offensive lineman Evan Neal reveals what makes him elite NFL talent
Evan Neal isn’t short on confidence entering the 2022 NFL Draft. He isn’t working out at the 2022 NFL Scouting Combine, but Neal is still delivering some money quotes.
On Thursday, the former Alabama star offensive lineman revealed what makes him an elite NFL talent.
“Biggest thing I bring to a franchise is versatility,” stated Neal, via Malik Wright of The Wrightway Sports Network.
Evidently, Neal knows all the right things to say. To illustrate, versatility is huge in the NFL — especially along the offensive line. While many teams will look to draft Neal as their franchise left tackles, his versatility will help him become even more desirable in the eyes of front offices.
The Jacksonville Jaguars could select Neal No. 1 overall to be the protector of Trevor Lawrence. Additionally, the Detroit Lions could decide to pair him up with last season generational offensive line prospect, Penei Sewell. Moreover, we could see the New York Giants attempt to trade up for Neal — the idea of him and Andrew Thomas anchoring the line too good to pass up.
As you can see, Evan Neal will likely be a top-five selection due to his ability and versatility. Whichever team selects the former Alabama star will be elated when they turn their pick in.

Evan Neal explains decision to not participate in NFL Combine on-field drills, testing
Evan Neal made the decision to decline to workout at the 2022 NFL Scouting Combine. On Thursday, Neal explained his decision not to participate in Indianapolis, opting to wait until his Pro Day later in March.
“Just asked OT Evan Neal what went into the decision not to participate in on-field drills and testing at the combine. He said he had a long season, and after talking with his agent, they agreed to take more time to prepare,” tweeted Stacey Dales of NFL Network. “Alabama’s pro day is March 30th.”
As you can see, the potential No. 1 selection in the 2022 NFL Draft is being methodical regarding the process. Alabama’s season went as long as it possibly could’ve, and the star offensive lineman is taking his time to ensure he puts on a good show for teams. Neal isn’t rushing anything.
It would’ve been nice for teams to see Evan Neal at the NFL Combine, but there’s only a select number of teams who even have a shot at drafting him. Expect the star Alabama offensive lineman to be off the board in a jiffy come April.
