4-star athlete Kendrick Law commits to Alabama Crimson Tide
Four-star Shreveport (La.) Captain Shreve athlete Kendrick Law has committed to Alabama, he announced on Friday.
Law is the No. 86 prospect in the 2022 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is ranked as the nation’s No. 4 athlete and No. 9 player in the state of Louisiana.
On3’s own rankings peg him as the No. 49 prospect in the country, the No. 4 athlete and the No. 2 player in Louisiana.
The 5-foot-11, 180-pounder chose the Crimson Tide over 15 other offers, including LSU, Texas, Florida State, Arkansas, Auburn, and others. He is the Tide’s 24th commit in the 2022 cycle. Alabama’s class ranks No. 2 nationally behind Texas A&M in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings.

Law took unofficial visits to Alabama and Florida State over the summer, and then took official visits to both this fall, as well as LSU and Texas.
He is one of the fastest players in Louisiana, starring in both football and track. As a junior, he placed second in the Louisiana Class 5A state track meet with a 100-meter time of 10.48 seconds. He also had additional 100 times of 10.77, 10.91, 10.92 and 10.97 in 2021. He has also excelled in the 200 meters (22.05) and long jump (22 feet, 8 inches).

“A well-built, versatile athlete with top long speed. Has a lean, rocked up build. Consistently runs under 11 seconds in the 100 meters. Has genuine positional ambiguity, playing wide receiver, running back and defensive back for his high school. Could project at either spot at the next level. Primary strength as a receiver is the ability to maximize yards after the catch. Tough and runs through arm tackles and bounces off defenders at the second level. Has the speed to pull away in the open field. Still technically unrefined as a receiver in terms of route-running. Physical skill set and mentality also project well to safety.
