Norman (Okla.) Community Christian EDGE Bai Jobe has been offered by Alabama, he announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Jobe is the No. 155 prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 16 EDGE and the No. 4 junior prospect in Oklahoma.

The 6-foot-5, 225-pounder has seen his stock explode since mid-December, adding a dozen offers, including Penn State, Miami, Michigan, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Indiana and now Alabama.

Jobe, a native of Senegal, arrived in the United States four years ago. He came to the country wanting to play professional basketball. But he quickly adapted to football and developed into a terrific defender.

He notched 16.5 sacks as a junior and is expected to make an even bigger impact for Community Christian this fall. Jobe has impressed not only his coaches and trainers with how quickly he has learned the game, but that’s translating to college coaches as well.

“The first thing I tell college coaches when they come in, from the end of his sophomore year to beginning of his junior season he really blossomed,” his high school coach, Mat McIntosh, told 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong. “One his love for football and wanting to be good and his picking up of things. His intelligence. The second thing I tell all coaches, he’s really competitive. He wants to be good. That leaves him asking what he can do to be better. He’s committed to what we ask him to do.

Bai Jobe is the ninth EDGE prospect Alabama has offered in the 2023 cycle, joining a list of some of the most sought-after defensive players in the country.
