4-star running back Kalib Hicks offered by Alabama
A day after being offered by Miami, Denton (Texas) Ryan running back Kalib Hicks added a big hitter to his recruitment process: Alabama. Crimson Tide assistant Robert Gillespie extended an offer to the four-star running back.
Hicks is the No. 346 prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 25 running back and the No. 61 junior prospect in the Lone Star State.
On3’s own rankings are much higher on Hicks, listing him as the country’s No. 147 prospect, No. 8 running back and No. 23 Texas prospect.
In addition to the Hurricanes, Baylor, Wisconsin, Missouri, TCU, and Ole Miss are among the dozen-plus schools that have offered Hicks. He took in junior days at Texas and TCU, but remains open in his recruitment to this point.

Alabama WR to transfer
“I’m looking for a second home,” Hicks told the OMSpirit last month. “Also looking to win and get pushed to my potential so I can get to the highest level (the NFL) and be successful. Of course, an education and an opportunity to play pro long-term.”
Kalib Hicks is just the eighth running back offered by Alabama in the 2023 class. Among the Tide’s other offers are the country’s top two players at the position: Richard Young and Reuben Owens.
