Nick Saban claps back at reporter: 'I was going to call Jimbo afterwards and tell him'
Alabama head coach Nick Saban couldn’t make it out of his Arkansas post-game press conference without being asked about the quarterback situation next week. In what was viewed as the preseason game of the year vs. Texas A&M, Saban will have some things to figure out when it comes to Bryce Young and Jalen Milroe.
Saban decided to have some fun with the reporter after being asked the question, clapping back at him a bit. He said the original plan was to call Aggies head coach Jimbo Fisher to give him the plan. But if he had answered the question, the press conference may have been enough.

“I don’t know,” Saban said. “I was going to call Jimbo afterwards and tell him exactly what we wanted to do. So, if he can hear it in a press conference, I don’t have to call him.”
All eyes are going to be in Tuscaloosa this weekend, even if Alabama is favored to win big. After an offseason of comments between Fisher and Saban, the two will meet on the field. It’s going to be the main topic of conversation throughout college football all week — if it’s not already.

Whether or not we will see Young against the Aggies, we will have to wait and see. Based on how Saban has worked in the past, there may not be any kind of information available until kickoff at Bryant Denny Stadium.
Nick Saban provides more color on Bryce Young injury
Saban provided some more color on Young’s injury during his postgame press confernece, saying it’s an AC sprain. The quarterback will be “day-to-day” moving forward. Saban also explained why they decided to not put the reigning Heisman Trophy winner back into the game.
“Bryce has a little AC sprain in his shoulder,” Sarkisian said. “We’ll have to take it day-to-day. I think he’s okay. Doesn’t have a serious injury. We didn’t think he could go back in the game today because I didn’t think he had much steam on throwing the ball. He’s had these before and after a few days, he starts to respond pretty well. So, we’ll just have to see how it goes and play it day-to-day.”
