WATCH: David Pollack says Georgia has "taken a hold" on college football in front of Nick Saban
Even when Alabama is not making the College Football Playoff, head coach Nick Saban finds himself on the broadcast side of the national championship game. He’s watching a former assistant coach dominate as well, with Kirby Smart having his team up by 31 points at halftime against TCU. It’s been dominant from Georgia start to finish.
Before the game began, people were beginning to ask if Georgia was leap frogging over Alabama in the big scheme of things. David Pollack thinks that debate is finished saying the Bulldogs have “taken a hold” in college football, at least over the past two seasons. With two national championships, there might not be too much of an argument.
The moment Pollack made the statement was a funny one though. Saban was sitting right next to him but did not give much of a reaction. There was no true emotion on his face as the Alabama headman just nodded in agreement.
You can watch the full moment below.
One of the national championship did come head-to-head against Alabama fans, as nobody involved with the Georgia program will forever forget that result in Indianapolis. You could view it as the Bulldogs finally getting over the hump over what seemed to be the final boss within their own conference for years.

Saban will be showing this clip to his own team as well, hoping to fire up what should be a fresh roster in the 2023 season. He will be wanting to prove that Alabama has not gone anywhere, even after missing the CFP as a whole this year.
Georgia is most likely defending another championship, while Alabama is hunting to get back on top of the sport. While the 2022 season is still ongoing, it’s going to be an interesting early storyline heading into the fall.
