Jalen Milroe on importance of EA Sports' College Football 25 game: 'This is how we're able to bond'

The new EA Sports’ College Football 25 video game has become a cultural phenomenon for college football fans. Even for players like Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe, the release of the game was very important.

Milroe made an appearance on Get Up where he discussed EA Sports’ College Football 25. He explained that the game coming back is a piece of his childhood and on top of that, it’s now allowing him another way to bond with teammates.

“I grew up playing the game on Xbox,” Jalen Milroe said. “Me and my brother used to compete every day once we got done with our day. We would go upstairs and play the game. So, it was a game that allowed us to bond together. Transitioning now to the new game, it’s awesome. Just to see my childhood now be back.”

That experience that Milroe had during the game is one that many college football fans had with the game growing up. Getting it back has been exciting and long anticipated.

In the case of Jalen Milroe and the Crimson Tide, having EA Sports’ College Football 25 is more than just a game. It’s an opportunity to bond with one another over a thing that brings them shared joy and some competition at the same time. In that way, it means a ton to Milroe.

“It was also, for us as a football team, this is how we’re able to bond,” Milroe said. “So, us in Tuscaloosa, this is our opportunity to be together, play the video game. I’m very thankful for NCAA dropping the game because a lot of people were excited. So, it’s just a great opportunity.”

In previous iterations of the game, fans were able to play with teams that mimicked real-world teams but couldn’t use individual player’s NIL in the process. Now, players like Milroe are actually in the game and can play with themselves.

On top of that, Jalen Milroe is one of the best players in EA Sports’ College Football 25 video game. He is a 90 overall player. That made it so that he was the 21st-ranked player in the SEC. On top of that, he is in a tie for the fifth-highest-rated quarterback in the game and he is one of six Alabama players to be ranked among the 100 best players in the game.

“Yeah. Can’t go against Bama now,” Milroe said while laughing.
