Jalen Milroe runs 4.37 40-yard dash at Alabama Pro Day

Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe has turned in a blazing fast 40-yard dash time. He showed off his wheels on Wednesday during the team’s annual Pro Day.
According to a report from 247Sports’ Mike Rodak, the SEC Network’s Dusty Dvoracek talked to scouts who had Milroe’s first 40-yard dash attempt clocked between 4.5 to 4.52 seconds. But his second run was the jaw-dropper.
SEC Network host Dari Nowkah reported live on the air that Jalen Milroe had run a 4.37 on his second attempt. He said:
“Dusty, we just got notified that, according to the school, the second one he ran, they have it at 4.37,” Nowkah said. “All right, we’ll dive into this a little bit more. Wow.”
Nowkah then followed up on the other side of a commercial break, noting that the times scouts had told Dvoracek on the second attempt ranged from 4.4 to 4.46. The school maintained that Milroe was in the 4.3 range.
Regardless, it’ll be interesting to see if an official time is released. But the bottom line is Jalen Milroe likely made himself a significant chunk of money with that blazing fast time.

Jalen Milroe meets with Pittsburgh Steelers
Former Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe met with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Tuesday evening in Tuscaloosa, according to NFL insider Tom Pelissero. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, general manager Omar Khan and quarterbacks coach Tom Arth were all in attendance to have dinner with Milroe.
Pittsburgh owns the No. 21 pick in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft and it appears the franchise is looking at potentially adding Milroe. The Steelers are in need of a QB after letting both Russell Wilson and Justin Fields enter free agency, and perhaps Milroe could be that guy.
The quarterback showed off his dual-threat ability this past season with the Crimson Tide to rush for 726 yards while throwing for 2,844. In fact, Milroe finished with more rushing touchdowns (20) than passing scores (16).
Milroe benefited greatly in his draft stock after his performance at the recent NFL combine. While he didn’t participate in the 40-yard dash — only three QBs did to be fair — Milroe showed off his cannon of a throwing arm during passing drills and was able to otherwise catch the attention of NFL personnel with just his physical presence and affable personality during team and media interviews.
