LOOK: Five-Star Plus+ QB Arch Manning visiting Alabama
New Orleans Isidore Newman Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Arch Manning is back in Tuscaloosa this weekend for a visit to Alabama.
He appears to be spending some time with St. James (La.) four-star Alabama signee Shazz Preston, one of the top wideouts in the 2022 recruiting class.
This is Manning’s third visit this spring after trips to Georgia and Texas.
Like every visit Manning takes during his recruitment, the stakes are high for the hosting school, even one with the pedigree of the Crimson Tide.
Manning is the unanimous No. 1 prospect in the class of 2023 cycle, and one of only three players to be rated as five-stars by all four major recruiting media companies.
Even at a program like Alabama, Manning would be one of the most important commits in years and is no doubt the program’s No. 1 priority.
“Manning not only represents a potential generational talent with unrivaled family pedigree at his position, but his impact on the class of whatever school he commits to will be immense,” BCSBama’s Joseph Hastings said. “He’s likely to attract some of the top offensive players in the nation to that program, such as the likes of Johntay Cook and Rueben Owens.”

Alabama has the lead for Arch Manning, according to RPM
Alabama has become the leader for Arch Manning’s recruitment, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. The Crimson Tide have slid into first place with a 35.6% chance, just ahead of previous leader Texas at 31.4%.
RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
It factors in machine learning, expert predictions, social sentiment, visits, and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.
Las Vegas has a different favorite for Manning, however. Oddschecker posted odds for Manning’s recruitment earlier this week with Georgia leading the way at +200. Texas came in second place at +250 and then Alabama at +350.
