Former Texas A&M OL Naquil Betrand commits to Alabama

Former Texas A&M offensive lineman Naquil Betrand committed to Alabama out of the transfer portal, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

Betrand entered the transfer portal on December 20. Now, he’ll get a chance to develop with the potential national champions.

As a member of the Class of 2023, Betrand was a three-star recruit out of Philadelphia (Pa.) Northeast, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 19 overall prospect in the state, the No. 51 offensive tackle in the class and the No. 791 overall prospect in the class.

“I feel as if nobody develops players better than Bama,” Betrand said, per Fawcett.
