Alabama has most players of any college ever in 2023 NFL top 100 players list
Right before football season begins, the NFL decides to release a list of the top 100 players in the league. It’s all voted on by the players, giving credit to their peers for performances throughout the previous year. A tremendous honor to be included, the list also gives collegiate programs the opportunity to flex their muscles.
Alabama might have the biggest flex of them all from the 2023 list, having the most players of all time in a single edition. A total of 13 former Crimson Tide players are considered top 100 players, ranking from the final spot at No. 100 and getting as high as No. 3 overall.
3. Philadelphia QB Jalen Hurts
13. Las Vegas RB Josh Jacobs
18. Pittsburgh DB Minkah Fitzpatrick
25. Tennessee RB Derrick Henry
40. New York (A) DL Quinnen Williams
44. Miami WR Jaylen Waddle
46. New York (A) LB CJ Mosley
49. Denver DB Patrick Surtain II
52. Washington DL Jonathan Allen
60. Dallas DB Trevon Diggs
82. Miami QB Tua Tagovailoa
92. Baltimore DB Marlon Humphery
100. Philadelphia WR Devonta Smith
Yes, the Jalen Hurts debate will likely arise due to this achievement. People from the Alabama program love Hurts for what he did, both as a starter and then when backing up Tagovailoa. However, folks in Norman, OK likely will claim Hurts as well.
Nonetheless, Hurts will clock in as the highest-rated Alabama player on the NFL’s top 100 list. An incredible honor from his fellow peers after a breakout season with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Alabama players continue to see success in the NFL
Every year around the NFL Draft, you hear about how many players Alabama has put in the league. Nick Saban has been the king of recruiting and player development since being hired back in 2007. Even during a down year (a two-loss regular season) in 2022, Alabama wound up having 10 players selected — including three in the first round.
The NFL numbers have been a great tool for the program to put on display. Recruiting is everything in college football and proving you can develop talent wins out more times than not.
But now having the all-time record takes Alabama to another level. They have proven players continue to improve once getting to the next level. And they are coming in at different spots as well, with the 13 players playing a total of seven different positions.
