Nick Saban calls out new book about his leadership style, doesn't plan to read
Nick Saban spoke on Wednesday about a new book about his leadership style, claiming that he hadn’t read the book and didn’t intend to. The new book, called The Leadership Secrets of Nick Saban, is written without input from Saban and the Crimson Tide‘s leader admitted that he used to be upset when people wrote books about him.
Nick Saban doesn’t endorse new book written about his leadership
During his press appearance on Wednesday, Saban fielded a question about the new book that had come out about his leadership style and whether or not he planned to write one himself in the future.
“Well I wrote one once,” said Saban. “I don’t plan to read the new book that’s out. I don’t really know what’s in it, and I don’t know what is right, what is wrong, what is good [or] what is bad. I used to get really upset when people did things like this, but I’ve kinda learned it kinda is the way of the world now.
“We don’t endorse the book in any way. I don’t plan to sign any of those books because I haven’t read it. I don’t know what’s in it. And I don’t know what’s correct and what’s incorrect, but it is what it is. One of these days, maybe when I don’t have anything else to do — which is not anytime soon I hope — I might consider it.”

Saban actually has author credits on three books about himself to this point of his career, but the most recent one was released shortly after leaving the LSU Tigers. Saban’s first two books were more autobiographical about his time with LSU and rise to prominence, while his most recent book detailed his tips and philosophies for success in life.
In the nearly two decades since his last book, Saban has become one of the biggest names in college sports history. When he finally does decide to call it quits on coaching, if he takes the time to write a book about his experience it will certainly be worth the wait.
