Nick Saban dances in locker room following 34-20 victory over Tennessee
Cigars are usually the celebration of choice following a victory on The Third Saturday in October. However, No. 11 Alabama’s 34-20 win over No. 17 Tennessee was good enough to actually get Nick Saban to break it down postgame.
Jim Dunaway of ‘The Next Round’ shared the clip in a tweet on Sunday afternoon. It features a video with a caption of ‘Dancing Goat’ as it shows Saban dancing with his Crimson Tide players after the 14-point, comeback win over the Volunteers.
The locker room likely didn’t look nearly as fun at halftime. When they went in after the first two quarters, Alabama faced an 11-point deficit after Tennessee looked like the better team for the first half.
The switch flipped in the second half, though, as ‘Bama shutout the Volunteers in a 27-0 stretch over the final two quarters. That included scores on their first four possessions while their defense also forced two turnovers on downs and a fumble recovery touchdown.
That turnaround led to quite a positive Saban postgame. He expressed his love and enjoyment for being able to coach this team so far while also crediting them in more ways than one for pulling this victory out, especially after what happened a season ago in Knoxville.
We don’t often see a Saban that’s anything more than neutral. If he’s ever animated, it’s often out of frustration. Even so, that wasn’t the case in this instance as Alabama’s head man took a minute to celebrate with his players after a quality win that was their seventh of the season and sixth straight.

Saban gives passionate postgame speech after Tennessee win
Taking down Tennessee always means something to Alabama. After last season’s game in Knoxville, though, things were made personal for the Crimson Tide.
Alabama WR Shazz Preston captured Nick Saban’s postgame speech in the locker room on camera while smoking his cigar. Saban can be heard in the distance delivering his speech — even if his voice is beginning to fade.

Saban is famous for using the 24-hour rule – only celebrating a win until sometime on Sunday. Once the time is up, Alabama moves on to the next opponent and puts the previous victory behind them.
However, this one was a little bit different, though. Alabama wanted to get revenge on Tennessee and did so in impressive fashion.
