WATCH: Nick Saban explodes on sideline following pass interference call late in blowout

Alabama head coach Nick Saban had no patience for the officials after a pass interference call with time expiring in a blowout win. The Crimson Tide was up 30-0 over Mississippi State with 20 seconds remaining in the game when a penalty drew the ire of Saban.

Nick Saban erupts over pass interference call

The moment immediately drew the attention of fans around the college football world given the state of the game at the time of his outburst. With a 30-0 lead and the game nearly over, Saban’s passion was evident as he gave the officials and earful — seeming to drop an expletive in their direction over the call. The penalty was actually the second pass interference call made on the final drive of the game, with the previous call coming on a fourth-down pass near the middle of the field.

Ultimately, the call might have cost Saban’s defense the shut out he was so close to locking down. The Bulldogs finished the game with a rushing touchdown as the clock hit zero seconds remaining, leading to a 30-6 finish.
