Noah Clowney probable against South Dakota State
Noah Clowney has been labeled probable for Alabama‘s game against South Dakota State with a lower-body injury, per CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein. Clowney has been out since taking a hard fall last Sunday against North Carolina.
The injury happened in the opening minutes of the Tide’s four-overtime win over then-No. 1 UNC.
The 6-foot-9 Clowney was 0-2 from the floor with one point and three rebounds at the time of the injury, which came just minutes after the opening tip. The product of Dorman High School (SC) is averaging 7.7 points and 8.7 rebounds on the year before his injury, second on the team behind fellow freshman Brandon Miller, who averages 8.9 board per game.
Clowney was a four-star recruit in the 2022 cycle, per to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was a top-100 player and a top-15 power forward in his class.

The Tide prevailed in what will go down as one of the longest games in college basketball history, despite Caleb Love delivering a career-best performance for the Tar Heels. He stuffed the stat sheet with 34 points (career-high), nine rebounds, four assists, and three steals in a losing effort for UNC.
