A top linebacker in the 2025 recruiting class made a trip to Tuscaloosa, Alabama this week.

La Verne (Calif.) Bonita four-star linebacker Noah Mikhail visited Alabama on Friday. He previously visited the Tide in November and July.

“It was a real good visit,” Mikhail told BOL. “It definitely showed me everything that I needed to see. I enjoyed really every part, even getting to see practice.”

Mikhail had previously visited Washington under Kaleb DeBoer, so this trip was about getting reacquainted with the staff in Tuscaloosa.

“My main takeaways were seeing that they’re not really skipping a beat with this coaching change,” Mikhail said. “They’re trying to keep everything the same as it was before, with some tweaks and changes. Obviously, Coach DeBoer’s coaching style and a little bit of what he does is different.

“But the motive stays the same football-wise,” Mikhail continued. “It was great getting to see Coach Kane in action and really the whole spiel of how they’re handling things down there.”

Mikhail is the nation’s No. 61 overall prospect and No. 6 linebacker in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 3 prospect in the state of California.

Alabama currently ranks No. 12 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings behind four commitments. Saraland (Ala.) four-star defensive lineman Antonio Coleman flipped from Auburn to ‘Bama last week — just months after flipping the previous way.

The 6-foot-2, 265-pound Coleman visited Alabama early last month and spoke to BOL about the trip.

“He’s definitely a straightforward guy,” Coleman told BOL regarding Coach DeBoer after his visit. “He wants to win. His message to me was that they want me. If I go up there, I’m definitely going to have to work.

“I could be a big part of their program. That means a lot. I feel like that boosts my value as a character, as a player. Encourages me to work harder to maintain and get better. He’s (DeBoer) a great overall coach to me. I feel like that probably have a good shot at winning the natty this year.”

Coleman is joined by Pike Road (Ala.) Carver top-100 running back Anthony Rogers and Brewton (Ala.) Ty Miller three-star linebacker Myles Johnson.

Denton (Md.) North Caroline four-star athlete Zymear Smith pledged to the Tide just today.

“Just being there, it felt like home. I felt like I didn’t even want to leave, for real,” Smith told BOL. “There’s no feeling like that. I felt like when I visited Alabama, I haven’t felt that way at all the other schools. Felt love at other schools, but it wasn’t like that.
