Alabama has gotten some good news in the form of a returning player for the 2025 season, with center Parker Brailsford telling reporters Thursday that he will be back.

AL.com’s Matt Stahl reported the news on Thursday morning.

Brailsford transferred into Alabama from Washington, making the same move that coach Kalen DeBoer did over the offseason. He instantly became a staple for the Crimson Tide in the center of the offensive line.

A preseason first-team All-American according to the Associated Press, Brailsford started all 12 games for the Crimson Tide. He was part of a unit that helped block for the electric Jalen Milroe all season long.

As a result, Milroe managed to throw for 2,652 yard sand 15 touchdowns, while also rushing for 719 yards and 20 scores. He was a huge weapon. Meanwhile, Brailsford’s decision leaves the 2025 NFL Draft class at center relatively weak, per experts.

The second-year Crimson Tide starter made the announcement Thursday morning.

“My thought process right now is finish this game out and get Michigan, so just being my absolute best I can be for my teammates, coaches,” Milroe said, per Sayfie.

Milroe playing will be one of the reasons Alabama is favored to win by more than a touchdown, with the early point spread favoring the Crimson Tide by 10.5 points, according to FanDuel.

And with the good news on the Parker Brailsford front, it’s been a good day of news overall for Alabama.
