BREAKING: Bryce Young injury update from CBS Sports
Alabama was rolling against Arkansas, getting two early touchdowns in the SEC’s game of the week. The tide quickly shifted in a negative manner when quarterback Bryce Young left the game with what seemed to be a shoulder injury. Not anything you want to hear about the reigning Heisman Trophy winner.
But the update coming back onto the field for the second half was a positive one. The CBS Sports broadcast said Young will be “questionable” to return. After spending time in the medical tent and in the locker room, there’s now a chance the quarterback could return to action.
“You heard Nick Saban tell me that it was a shoulder injury going into the half,” sideline reporter Jenny Bell said. “I just was told he went in, got evaluated and now he is questionable to return.”

Prior to the beginning of the third quarter, Young was seen on the field not only with a helmet but also throwing some passes.
Young was having a solid performance before leaving the game. He had completed seven on his 13 passes, going for 173 yards, a touchdown, and one interception. Even on the ground game Young was able to make something happen, getting into the end zone.

Byrce Young into medical tent after injury
No. 2 Alabama is out to an early lead against No. 20 Arkansas, but all eyes are now on the injury tent following a hit Young took on a third-down play early in the second quarter.
Young immediately went to the injury tent following the third-down play, which came up incomplete and forced Alabama to punt.
He threw his helmet down on the sideline before heading into the tent. It’s unclear what happened to Young, who didn’t appear to be hit on the play, but the 2021 Heisman Trophy winner immediately looked to be in pain.
“He was trying to run to the locker room and the trainers actually stopped him and brought him inside the injury tent,” Dell said of Young right after the injury occurred. “I heard a very, very extreme yell coming from him as he was throwing down his helmet.”
