Early in the game against Louisiana-Monroe, Alabama was able to get a couple of easy touchdowns. One came on the offensive end, while Will Anderson got a pick-six later in the first quarter. The only thing missing? A special teams touchdown from the Crimson Tide.
Well, you can cross it off your bingo card now, as Alabama was able to block a punt. Coming straight up the middle of the ULM punt block, wide receiver Ja’Corey Brooks was able to get a hand on the kick. Defensive back Malachi Moore scooped up the ball and made his way into the endzone.

Just underway halfway through one quarter, Alabama has three touchdowns and leads 21-0. All three have come from different phases as Nick Saban‘s team is responding well from last week’s game vs. Texas.

To make matters potentially even better for Alabama, both an offensive and defensive star was involved in the special teams play. Quarterback Bryce Young was able to add a touchdown since the blocked punt as well, making it a 28-0 ballgame in Tuscaloosa.

Alabama head coach Nick Saban shares standard players are judged by
The standard at Alabama is different, there’s no doubt about it. Saban said his players are being judged based on those expectations, especially on a game such as Saturday. He wants all of his players to “play to the best of their ability.”
“I think the team is being judged by the standard of being one of the best programs in the country, being one of the best teams in the country. But each individual player is being judged on a level of consistency that he can play with. So, it benefits everybody to play to the best of their ability and reach their full potential.”
