LOOK: Stephon Wynn releases statement after entering transfer portal
Wednesday, Stephon Wynn entered the transfer portal. Shortly after, he took to Twitter to share a statement.
Wynn is coming off his fourth — and, now, final — season with Alabama, appearing in 12 games during that time. He entered the portal after totaling five tackles in seven games in 2021, helping the Crimson Tide to a national championship game appearance.
Wednesday night, he expressed his gratitude for his time in Tuscaloosa before confirming he’s taking his talents elsewhere.
“First off, I would like to thank Coach Saban and all of the staff associated with the University of Alabama for an amazing four years,” Wynn wrote. “You all have made a lot of my childhood dreams come true, and I am very grateful for the time that I have spent here. My family and I feel that it is in my best interest to enter my name into the transfer portal and finish my college career elsewhere.
