To no surprise for any football fan in the world, Alabama is annually one of the top schools at producing NFL talent — and often, the very best. Redshirt freshman defensive back Terrion Arnold is amazed at just how many former Crimson Tide players have made their mark on the NFL, and that level of pro success at his school is inspiring him to be next.

He recently joined Kyle Henderson of Bama Insider to discuss a range of topics, including how impressed he is by the connection between Alabama players in the pros to the program now. Here were his comments regarding the topic:

“I feel like it’s really really crazy. I know it’s gonna feel more surreal this year, because when I turn on the TV I’d be like…Wow, I was just next to them. For example, like Christian Harris. That was my life. He was right here and I was right here. He had just talked about…’Man, we almost there.’ And I was like man what you mean? I got three more [years]. But it just go by so fast.

“Even how the guys come back, come back to the facility, it’s really amazing how it’s really like a brotherhood no matter who’s there. Everybody supports each other.”

Arnold is hoping to be next in line as part of that “brotherhood” to enter the NFL after leaving Tuscaloosa.

Arnold was a blue-chip member of Alabama’s No. 1 ranked 2021 recruiting class, per the On3 Consensus. In the player consensus for On3, Arnold ranked as a very high four-star defensive back (and a five-star in On3’s own rankings) and was the 35th overall player, as well as the No. 2 safety in the class and the No. 8 player in the state of Florida. As a side note: holy moly, what a crop of talent out of Florida in 2021. Eight of the top 35 players in the entire nation is an amazing class for a single state.

The Tallahassee native attended the prestigious John Paul II high school, where he earned his rise in the rankings playing against the best talent in the state of Florida. And, by proxy, the best talent in the entire country.

This kid has some serious talent. With a year of patiently watching from the sidelines under his belt, Arnold could be in for a serious snap count even as a redshirt freshman.
