The Alabama Crimson Tide Pro Day has come and gone. With that, came the opportunity for exciting NFL Draft prospects like Terrion Arnold to try and impress scouts.

Following the Pro Day, Arnold shared the message that Miss Terry, the wife of former Alabama head coach Nick Saban, shared with him ahead of the Pro Day through FaceTime.

“She said, ‘Terrion, I’m sorry I couldn’t come but one thing about it, I love you. I love you,” Terrion Arnold shared. “I said, ‘Miss Terry, it’s cool. Where are you going right now?’ She said, ‘Right now, I’m going back to the house. Gonna go, have some things to take care of.'”

While Miss Terry wasn’t able to make the Alabama Pro Day, her daughter Kristen Saban was able to make it. That was important to Terrion Arnold, who emphasized the family environment that he appreciated about Alabama.

“But you know, with her daughter being her, Kristen, that meant the world to me. Like, I call her my sister. I don’t even have Twitter. Because I don’t like to get into the media. I downloaded Twitter to go retweet some stuff and I deleted the app again because I don’t like, like Coach Saban said, the rat poison going in me. I don’t do that, I can control what I can control. So, with that being said, when I’ve seen her getting into it with somebody on Twitter, I was like, ‘Come on Kristen, what you doing?’ As long as we know what’s going on, I know you’re here to support me, support the guys. That means everything to us, and it’s really a true family. It just speaks to how it is here.”

This wasn’t the first time that Miss Terry has shared a powerful message with Terrion Arnold in the NFL Draft process. She also did so ahead of the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.

“She texted me right before I came out here. I told it was just like another game. She said, ‘You should be blessed. You’re highly favored. And just go out there and give it your all,’” Arnold said.

“And she said with Coach Saban, his new role, NFL Network, College GameDay, he’s preparing for the draft and things like that, but just encouraging words from her. Just like old times.”

Terrion Arnold explains impact Miss Terry has had on Alabama’s program

Terrion Arnold has long since sung the praises of Miss Terry, going back to the 2023 season when he explained the impact that she’s had on the Alabama program.

“When I had my meeting [with Nick Saban], we talked about what we talked about and stuff and after that, Miss Terry called me. When she calls me, she says she had a surprise for me. So I go over to their house. When I go over to their house, Miss Terry, she hands me a book. It’s a book that her and Coach Saban read on the daily and it’s kind of like Greek mythology. It’s just a quote for every day, and it’s just a testament to her,” Arnold said.

“When she gave me the book she said, ‘You can start reading it if you can at the beginning of the year.’ But, I couldn’t read my book because it was ripped out all the way until January 19. I’m like, ‘Miss Terry, why’s it ripped out all the way to January 19?’ Miss Terry said, ‘I had to rip out some of the pages and I had to send it to Henry Ruggs.’ When you’re incarcerated, she said you can’t send books and so you have to do it by pages… That’s just a testament to who she is. Miss Terry has really, really been there for former ‘Bama players, current ‘Bama players, and just been that heartbeat. I really mean it a lot when I say she’s been like a best friend to me.”
