Former Texas A&M offensive lineman Kam Dewberry has committed to transfer to Alabama, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

The 6-foot-4, 320-pound Dewberry has one season of collegiate eligilibility remaining and could help fill a pending void in the middle of a Crimson Tide offensive line that will likely lose junior left guard Tyler Booker to the NFL this offseason. Booker is widely considered a potential first-round NFL Draft pick.

As a member of the Class of 2022, Dewberry was a four-star recruit out of Atascocita (Humble, Tex.) Highaccording to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. Dewberry was the No. 63 overall prospect in the 2022 recruiting class, No. 4 interior offensive lineman overall, and No. 11 player in Texas. He chose Texas A&M over offers from Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio State and LSU.

As a freshman in 2022, Kam Dewberry made an immediate impact with the Aggies, appearing in seven games with five starts. Dewberry would then appear in every game for the next two seasons for Texas A&M, with the majority of his playing time has come at the left guard position. However, Dewberry has also made appearances at right guard, showing off some valuable versatility.

Coming out of high school he was a 2022 Under Armour All-American and a 2022 Polynesian Bowl selection. On top of that, he was a finalist for Greater Houston Area Offensive Player of the Year by the Touchdown Club of Houston.
